    The DATALOGGER V2 is a powerful top hat rail device for recording KNX telegram data in real time based on MySQL. It receives the data either via KNX/TP or KNXnet/IP. The configuration is done via a user-friendly web interface. Thanks to its integrated KNXnet/IP server, the DATALOGGER V2 fulfils three functions at once: It offers IP router functionality for KNX, records telegram traffic and monitors IP and KNX subscribers on request. All data is recorded in an internal MySQL database or, for larger amounts of data, in an external MySQL database. The ETS4/5 project information is used to automatically structure the database. You can schedule automated exports by e-mail or to a locally connected USB drive in various intervals, or alternatively export data manually over network. Provided in CSV or XLS format, the data can be used immediately and in a variety of ways.

    POWERFUL HARDWARE
    Thanks to high-efficient hardware, the DATALOGGER V2 also processes large amounts of data. Based on MySQL, it not only stores the data internally but also in an external database, thus increasing the available data volume. If desired, certain group address ranges can be defined so that only the relevant data is recorded.

     

    TARGETED MONITORING
    On demand, the DATALOGGER V2 monitors any IP and KNX subscribers which are determined via IP or physical addresses and informs the administrator about the connection status. In addition, it is possible to monitor values of individual KNX group addresses. The conditions for notifications of value overruns or underruns are freely definable. The complete recording and the automatic export function of the DATALOGGER V2 are ideal instruments for analyzing processes in automation environments. Faulty KNX applications or incorrect programming can be investigated in no time at all. The «Top 10 function» provides immediate information about the most frequently sent KNX group addresses and thus helps to identify optimization potentials.

     

    AUTOMATED EXPORT FUNCTION
    Once set up, the DATALOGGER V2 performs its tasks automatically: the data can be recorded and exported in defined cycles by e-mail. Warning messages are issued immediately if there is insufficient memory. Using the ETS4/5 project information, the DATALOGGER V2 structures the recorded data independently.

     

    WEB BASED CONFIGURATION
    The multiplatform web interface for configuration simplifies commissioning and enables an intuitive and fast application of important functions, such as setting up e-mail dispatch, user administration and external database connection. 

     

    ROUTER FUNCTIONALITY
    The DATALOGGER V2 is not only used for recording and monitoring - it also offers IP router functionality. The DATALOGGER V2 offers three functions in one device. This reduces the initial costs considerably.

     

    DATA ANALYSIS MADE EASY
    For efficient data analysis, the DATALOGGER V2 offers a targeted export according to time period and group address ranges. The values of the telegrams are automatically scaled during ETS file import and thus form the basis for an exact data analysis based on a CSV, XLS or XML file. 

     

     

    PRODUCT APPLICATION - THE DATALOGGER V2 IN USE+

    EXAMPLE: DATA LOGGER AS AN IP ROUTER

    Equipped with a fully adequate KNXnet/IP server, the DATALOGGER is an IP router at the same time. It collects the data via KNXnet/IP routing and from its line and saves it on an external MySQL-Server. The desired data is automatically exported daily, weekly or monthly in XLS or CSV format. At the same time, the DATALOGGER is also the programming interface for the ETS thanks to KNXnet/IP tunneling.

    EXAMPLE: DATA LOGGER AS A KNX/TP PARTICIPANT

    Connected to the twisted pair bus, the DATALOGGER records all desired KNX®telegrams and saves them in its internal MySQL database. The data is exported to a USB stick (or alternative via Mail) in CSV or XLS format. Due to its function as a KNXnet/IP server, the DATALOGGER also serves as an interface to the KNX® bus for the ETS.

    WICHTIGER HINWEIS ZUM UPDATE DATALOGGER V2 FIRMWARE VERSION 1.2.4.
    Die Einstellung "Konfiguration Beibehalten" MUSS auf "Netzwerkeinstellung beibehalten" oder "Konfiguration zurücksetzen" geändert werden, damit das Update eingespielt werden kann!
    Dies ist nur für dieses Update notwendig, für zukünftige Updates ist dieser Schritt nicht notwendig.
    Nach dem Update MUSS das ETS Projekt neu in den DATALOGGER hochgeladen werden. Ein Wiederherstellen aus dem Backup genügt nicht, da der ETS Projekt Import überarbeitet wurde.

     

    IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE UPDATE DATALOGGER V2 FIRMWARE VERSION 1.2.4.
    the setting "keep configuration" MUST be changed to "keep network configuration" or "reset configuration" in order to install the update!
    This must only be done for this update. Further updates will be able to "keep the configuration".
    After the update the ETS Project MUST be loaded into the DATALOGGER again. Restoring it from a Backup is not sufficient, as the ETS Project import has been overhauled.
